Sea Of Voices & Shy Guy 64 - Redream Esilicon Metagraphics

This is an album like no other. An experimental collaboration between two Italian artists. "The exploration of new sonorities was the aim for both of us. Projecting a psychedelic medieval dungeon exploration in music: monsters, beasts and foes are around the corner. Powerful and mysterious forces decide the fate of Gaia and the world. Time is convoluted." So much for the description of this sonically vast and deep 80-minute-monster from the Sea Of Voices Bandcamp site.

Maybe here we are leaving the sector of music that is hold together by what is familiar to the ear. For the 14 tracks give me the chills and feel of the sci-fi or horror radio plays that I loved listening to when I was a ten year old kid. Upward winding loops are accompanied by dramatic string runs, dub-like delays build a bread crumb track that will leave us lost in a forest with many eyes darting from the tree tops, while a new melody seduces us to leave the path. I really wish to have this music in a wooden box blotched with medieval ornaments that I can open whenever I want and it is playing these tracks like someone is reading an adventure story to me.
